11th Annual Pittsburgh Conference on Child Maltreatment

  • Circuit Center & Ballroom 5 Hot Metal St Pittsburgh, PA, 15203 United States (map)

Child Advocacy Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC invited me to be a keynote speaker during their annual conference on child maltreatment. Their mission is to protect children and promote healthy families by adhering to standards of excellence in assessment of child maltreatment and in medical care of vulnerable children. We also work in collaboration with and in support of the efforts of other child protection professionals, by providing acute and primary medical care, case management, medical consultations, court testimony and SCAN and multidisciplinary team meetings.

I will be discussing the events pertaining to neglect and trauma pertaining to my life and offering insight into ways to better serve today's at-risk child population. Afterwards, I'll stick around to answer questions, sell and sign copies of Broken Child Mended Man.
